Local Explorations

Grab your binoculars, a clipboard, and our Birds of the Hamptons Guide and set out for local outdoor adventure.

One of our favorite spots for spotting local birds, is the Morton Wildlife Refuge. Be sure to bring some bird food, as our flying friends have been know to come and eat out of your hand!

A GIFT TO BIRDS

Children love to take care of their environment and animals. Tap into that desire to have a positive impact by making pinecone bird feeders to hang in your backyard. Simply spread some peanut butter or Crisco on a pinecone and add bird food. Hang your new bird feeder in a tree as a gift to your backyard bird friends.

As you are creating your bird feeder look over your bird guide and see if any of the birds look familiar.

Keep the guide nearby as birds start to find your delicous treat.
