This past holiday season, the Playful Learning community came together for the second year in a row to collect diapers, wipes, and other toiletry needs for the East Hampton Food Pantry.

The administrative team, in conjunction with our newly formed Parents’ Association, decided to focus their efforts on this drive for a few reasons. The first is that diapers and wipes are concrete everyday items for the Playful Learning students, making their donations meaningful. The second is that federal assistance programs like SNAP or WIC do not cover diapers, wipes, and other toiletry items. This means families in need do not always have access to assistance in purchasing these items.

Our community was able to collect enough items to support several families and we look forward to growing this drive in the future.
